Hugs. I'm sorry about that stupid campaign.
I myself have been temporarily asexual, and while it was a relief to regain my sexual health (my version of health, that is) and feel robustly sexual again ( though still single) I have some understanding of the contradictory attitudes of society towards the celibate/asexual. I wrote a song about it:

Chorus: It’s Ok to Not Like Sex, Just Don’t Be A Dick About It

It’s ok to hate on het smoochers on the skytrain
just resist the urge to throw a bucket of water on them

chorus

It’s ok to drape yourself in long skirts and sleeves
just don’t hate on that cute girl butt in leggings

chorus

It’ s ok to wash dishes naked and not give a fuck about fucking
just don’t hate on that semitasteful seminude edgy arts magazine cover

chorus

It’s ok to desire God so deeply you forget anyone could like anyone else
just remember the moon will never blind like the sun

chorus

It’s ok to lose the body in movement and the movement
just remember what movements brought this body into being

chorus

It’s ok to let your heartbreak turn you solid like a glacier
just remember others have a right to summer

chorus
