Really was tin-eared; I kept saying "No, I'm pretty sure I know my own mind" and he kept saying "Yeah, but you don't really feel like that, you only think you do".
It was pretty representative, though, since the host of the site (who is male) was also getting mansplained by another commenter about no, he really didn't feel the way he said he felt :-)
