And then his brothers being brothers and making jokes about his cooking until he punched them. BUT YEAH!

Anyway, I finally got another copy of LotR and am embarking on a very belated reread (yayyyy), and I just read the smackdown that Aragorn delivers to Eomer re why Eowyn was so damn death-seeking. "You got to play with horses and swords and you made her stay at home when her dreams were just the same as yours--you don't think that might have gotten her down? Just a little?" Come on, no one who thinks a woman's place is by the hearth would write a sentiment like that.
